Introduction
Hull Tec's School of Mechanical Engineering is a dedicated training facility for those who wish to pursue a career in engineering. Based at the Orchard Park Campus in Hull, resources include a machine shop, maintenance department, CNC department, IT suites and classrooms.

You can develop a broad range of skills and acquire a number of qualifications through work-based learning. Depending upon your initial assessment you can join one of our apprenticeship programmes where you will spend most of your time working with an employer and formal day release training at Hull Tec.

Before starting your apprenticeship programme you can choose from a range of specialist study areas, which include maintenance fitting, mechanical engineering or multi-skilled applications.

Apprenticeship
Duration: 21 months
Entry requirements: Aged 16-24 years.
Interview and basic skills assessment.
Framework content: Key Skills (Levels 1 & 2),
NVQ (Level 2) & Technical Certificate (Level 2).

Advanced Apprenticeship
Duration: 22 - 42 months
Entry requirements: Aged 16-24 years.
Interview and basic skills assessment.
Framework content: Key Skills (Level 2), NVQ (Level 2&3) & Technical Certificate (Level 3)
