Check out our Corporate and Social Responsibility commitment at http://www.hcctraining.co.uk/docupload/1245936322.pdf and let us know what you think.

I think this document is a great idea and fully support the concept. There are many ethical issues Hull Training could consider and hopefully support. Please pass any relevant suggestions on to me and I will include them in the Citizenship Update - hopefully we can generate some discussion.

As a starting point, as an organisation can we work towards only using cleaning products and soaps etc that are not tested on animals? This is something I feel very strongly about. See: http://www.buav.org/campaigns/gocrueltyfree

Thanks

You are absolutely right Fiona, we do need to consider what we use and where it comes from.
Carl can you look at this as a development when choosing suppliers.

aww I only like to use soap that has been tested on animals. If I use anything else my face swells up and I can't use my left hand.  Cry

Hi Rob - it is worth persevering - you should be able to find products suitable for sensitive skin. Look for the "Leaping Bunny" logo - this means the retailer is recognised by the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV). Some suppliers claim their product has not been tested on animals, but you may find the individual ingredients have been. Marks and Spencer's whole range are cruelty free, as are CO-OP's own brand and Body Shop.

Good luck - unless you were joking, in which case - shame on you!!
